Jack of All Trades

I’m a writer by vocation, but there are so many other things at which I wish to try my hand. These interests include learning other languages, photography,  jewelry-crafting, playing the guitar, knitting, cooking, bookbinding, and more. The phrase “jack of all trades, master of none, though ofttimes better than a master of one” really resonates for me. As far as other languages go, I studied Latin for six and a half years, and am now studying both French and German in relation to my graduate research. I own a gorgeous red Yamaha acoustic guitar that I’m slowly teaching myself to play. On intermittent visits with my mother, I’m also learning how to knit (and so have nothing really to show for it yet). Read on for more on my other pursuits!

Icon-Making

I also dabble a bit in making icons for use at sites such as Livejournal and Dreamwidth, a sample of which you can see at Goblin Fruit by clicking the banner above and visiting the Mischief section.
